The new classification plant to produce POZZOCRETE from raw fly ash was commissioned. The plant adds a further recycling capacity of 30.000 ts/month to Dirk India's existing installation next to Nashik Thermal Power Station. The classification plant was designed by the expert in-house team of DIRK Group and has been erected in the record time of 8 months. The total POZZOCRETE plant at Nashik has now the capacity to recycle all dry fly ash generated by the Nashik power station.
Commissioning tests which were concluded on 26th February 2006 showed that the plant was working within the stringent quality parameters for the various POZZOCRETE products. The classifier has an input capacity of 1000 ts per day and can produce approximately 750 ts per day of POZZOCRETE. The end product storage capacity was increased by another 350 ts silo capacity with outloading facilities for bulk and 1 ton big- bags. Loading of bulkers (silo tankers) of up to 30 ts capacity can be performed within 5 minutes controlled by rear axle weighment prior to final weighment on the factory weigh bridge. The outloading capacity for POZZOBLOCK is 25 ts/hour into tipper vehicles.
1 ton big bags are produced in the new export shed. Now four containers can be loaded simultaniously with a monthly loading capacity of more than 60.000 ts in big bags. The plant has been upgraded to three bulker outloading systems.
The classification plant (height more than 50 m) is the new landmark of the plant.
On inspection of the new system Mr. Georg Dirk, chairman of DIRK GROUP, congratulated Mr. P.J. Jawale (Director Production) for the excellent work of the team headed by him.
