Presentation of a new blended cement type

On 22nd March 2012 AMBUJA and DIRK India will present AMBUJA's newly coined HiRise cement. This blended cement is designed to meet the requirement of High Performance Concrete. HiRise "Active POZZOCRETE" will be produced in a state of the art facility currently being erected at the DIRK India Nashik and Mandideep plant. The technical launch event on 22nd March will be held at the Gateway Hotel (former Taj Residency) at Nashik and is mainly directed to demonstrate to the construction fraternity the technical and economical advantages of this new product.

Since AMBUJA CEMENTS LTD  aquired a controlling stake in DIRK INDIA  it was a natural next step that AMBUJA and DIRK wanted to build innovative new products on the  basis of the Nashik POZZOCRETE plant designed to meet high end POZZOCRETE products.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), India, became the Nobel Peace Prize laureate together with the former American Vice President Al Gore for laying foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract climate changes. This panel in collaboration with TERI (Tata Energy and Resources Institute) issued in 2006 a book containing 25 best projects for corporate environmental responsibility in India - the DIRK Pozzocrete plant at Nashik was selected as one of those twenty five project.
