Extension of the Nashik POZZOCRETE plant by a grinding facility

August 17, 2010

DIRK India is developing a new product line for which the raw material is the deselected coarse ash from its mechanical air classifiers. This coarse ash was so far used by brick and block-makers or for land reclamation purposes.

The new products will be following the particle size line of the POZZOCRETE cement replacements but marked with a capital G behind the product name for clear distinction. For example:

POZZOCRETE 60 = air classified

P 60                     = ground classified

The ground material will behave in mix designs involving OPC very similar to PPC and can be used for all applications where customers used PPC. For DIRK India the new grinding plant also offers in future additionally the ability to reuse dry lagoon ash as well as to produce POZZOCRETE PPC in the DIRK plant.

The considerable investment into the new plant will enable DIRK India to produce this new range of additional products at attractive pricing.

The plant is under commissioning and will start serving our customers from December 2010 onwards. Its operation will also enhance the environmental performance of the Nashik plant.
