Sales of AMBUJA HiRise cement are rising

June 06, 2013

Since introduction of this new type of High Performance Pozzolan Portland Cement architects and consultants are specifying this product due to its outstanding performance. During the drought season in Maharashtra the reduction of approx. 10% of the water demand reduced the impact of new regulations in respect of water supply to construction sites.

Dirk India private limited and Ambuja cements limited introduced a new blended cement first of its kind in India. This cement differs from normally available blended cements in many aspects,

1)      The cement blending process is different as the cement and fly ash are pneumatically blended to as compared to inter grinding of cement clinker and fly ash in normal PPC. By virtue of this process the spherical shape of fly ash remains unaltered, whereas inter grinding distorts the spheres in fly ash and makes it angular.

2)      This cement has lowest water demand than any available PPC cements in markets, The normal consistency of this cement is in range of 24-26%.This cement has high performance Pozzolana content. The 100% processed and quality assured fly ash of fine quality SSA>400m2/kg is used with the properly designed Particle size distribution in this cement is maintained by selecting fine and ultrafine fly ash.

3)      The Low water demand in this cements allows stable mixes(concrete free from segregation and bleeding) even at very high workability. This cement has the unique ability of producing durable mixes even at low cement contents and on the other hand it can produce high performance concrete at lower cement content. Concrete up to M60 grade have been produced at 400 Kg cement content at site successfully.

4)      The Hi-rise cement provides one component solutions for making high performance concretes which normally requires three types of binders to produce same. This also reduces initial infra structure cost and avoids the hassle caused by manual mixing of some components. This also reduces problem of concrete users procurement of multiple suppliers.

5)      The Hi-rise cement easily reduces w/c ratio in range of 0.25 to 0.22 with surprisingly low admixture dosage of 0.5 to 0.8% with proper selection of ingredients. This makes concrete impermeable.

6)      The Hi-rise cement gives excellent finish to the concrete hence it is highly recommended for form finish structures.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), India, became the Nobel Peace Prize laureate together with the former American Vice President Al Gore for laying foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract climate changes. This panel in collaboration with TERI (Tata Energy and Resources Institute) issued in 2006 a book containing 25 best projects for corporate environmental responsibility in India - the DIRK Pozzocrete plant at Nashik was selected as one of those twenty five project.
