Meeting of the Advisory Board of the Maharashtra Fly Ash information Center

The Maharashtra Fly Ash Information Center is located next to the Dirk India Fly Ash recycling plant. After the first meeting of the Advisory board to the Maharashtra Fly Ash information Center the board members inspected the POZZOCRETE plant. Mr. G. Dirk outlined the further 10 cr. investment. Work on this is starting in Decmebr 2006.

The new installation will process the rejects from the classification plant
into a new grade of POZZOCRETE. By this the Nashik plant will have no
residues which would need to be disposed off.

Just now installation work on the ash conditioning plant started.
This plant is used to produce conditioned or stabilized ash which
can be used for safe transport for all types of fill applications in road
construction.

Dirk expects to have the further two 300 ts silos for the new plant ready by February 2007. By this the silo capacity is increased to totally 1400 ts, adding to supply flexibilty.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), India, became the Nobel Peace Prize laureate together with the former American Vice President Al Gore for laying foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract climate changes. This panel in collaboration with TERI (Tata Energy and Resources Institute) issued in 2006 a book containing 25 best projects for corporate environmental responsibility in India - the DIRK Pozzocrete plant at Nashik was selected as one of those twenty five project.
