Dirk receives additional funding to support the rapid development of groundbreaking recycling technologies.

Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF), Liverpool, provided £ 500.000 additional funding for Dirk European Holdings Ltd. to support the rapid development of groundbreaking recycling technologies introduced by DIRK for the treatment of industrial and municipal by-product streams. DIRK was advised for this transaction by TMG Corporate Finance, Manchester. Georg Dirk, chairman of Dirk Group, said that he is delighted to receive this European Union based boost of funds as a recognition of the companies environmental achievements and as an obligation for the future growth of its Merseyside operations.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), India, became the Nobel Peace Prize laureate together with the former American Vice President Al Gore for laying foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract climate changes. This panel in collaboration with TERI (Tata Energy and Resources Institute) issued in 2006 a book containing 25 best projects for corporate environmental responsibility in India - the DIRK Pozzocrete plant at Nashik was selected as one of those twenty five project.
