Georg S. Dirk takes on new position.

May 08, 2003

On 1st May 2003 Georg Stephan Dirk was promoted to be the director for marketing of the Water Industry business of Dirk European Holdings Ltd. Georg Stephan received a BA (Hons) International Business at Plymouth University and a Diplom Betriebswirt at the Fachhochschule Dortmund.

He then joined infoMedia (IT and software division of Thyssen- Krupp AG in Düsseldorf) as a project manager. He stayed within the ThyssenKrupp Group for a further 4 years, spending the last 1,5 years as International Licensing Director,

Georg Stephan joined the family business 2 years ago under the guidance of Peter Wilkinson. Now, on retirement of Peter Wilkinson he was promoted as director marketing.

Together with Reinhard Sniezyk, the director of finance and administration, Dr. William Barber the head of process development and Wolfgang Romih the head of operations, Georg Dirk (sen.) the chairman of DIRK GROUP is paving the way for the generation change.

Accolades

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), India, became the Nobel Peace Prize laureate together with the former American Vice President Al Gore for laying foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract climate changes. This panel in collaboration with TERI (Tata Energy and Resources Institute) issued in 2006 a book containing 25 best projects for corporate environmental responsibility in India - the DIRK Pozzocrete plant at Nashik was selected as one of those twenty five project.
