The chairman of DIRK Group gave an interview to Lokmat Times in Aurangabad/ Maharashtra, India on 20th January. The resulting article was headed: India has vast potential to transform fly ash into wealth.
Mr. Dirk reported about the progress of the Pozzocrete plant at Nashik Thermal Power Station, which is heading to be completed in summer this year for the 1000ts/day production capacity. He also highlighted the success the product is enjoying in the market. Mr. Dirk mentioned that the Nashik project has sparked off a high interest in fly ash. Power generators are now able to let tenders for the recycling of fly ash in India. Nevertheless he stated his concern that amongst the bidders for those tenders are companies who do not have the ability and resources to produce quality controlled ash products which might result into uncertainty amongst users which in turn might undo the good results of the technical education campaign for users carried out by DIRK Group in India over the last two years.
The interview coincided with Mr. Dirk’s attendance at the wedding of Rishi and Seetal Darda the son of the former Minister of State for power, tourism and finance. The cabinet of Mahrashta is currently in the process of reshuffle. Special guests from the political arena were amongst many dignities the old and the new Chief Ministers of Mahrashtra.
Quote from Lokmat Times: “ The guests who gathered on the occasion read like the who is who of the country….from the business field the industry was led by TATA Group chairman Ratan Tata, Chairman of Raymond Gautambari Singhania, his wife Nawad Modi-Singhania, Abhay Firodia…and Georg Dirk from the UK.”
The Dirk family is extending its best wishes to the couple and the Darda family.
