Long term exclusive contract for recycling of Fly Ash from Sarni TPS, Sarni, awarded to Dirk India

Following several tenders issued by the M.P. Power Generating Company Ltd. of Jabalpur DIRK India was awarded a long term contract for the exclusive recycling of of all fine dry PFA of Sarni Thermal Power Station. The work on this project will start with immediate effect. DIRK will erect a handling and processing facility near to the power station to be completed by November 2010.

POZZOCRETE originated from Satpura TPS will be reserved for the inland market. Initially POZZOCRETE 60 and POZZOCRETE 63 will be made available in bulker and 30 kg paper bags. As standard with DIRK India the production will be quality assured by our Sarni laboratory.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), India, became the Nobel Peace Prize laureate together with the former American Vice President Al Gore for laying foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract climate changes. This panel in collaboration with TERI (Tata Energy and Resources Institute) issued in 2006 a book containing 25 best projects for corporate environmental responsibility in India - the DIRK Pozzocrete plant at Nashik was selected as one of those twenty five project.
