A NEW force in Ultrasound technologies for sewage sludge reduction

DIRK have been developing over the past five years Ultrasound applications for the encapsulation of toxic substances and lately for sewage sludge reduction. IWE.tec (Innovative Water and Environmental Technologies , Radebeul, Germany) a company formed by Dr. Hielscher GmbH, a leading specialist in Ultrasound technologies and the renowned German Fraunhofer Insitute, Dresden, joined forces with DIRK for the markets in the UK and Ireland. DIRK signed a contract to become the exclusive sole distributor for the IWE.tec technologies in Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland.

IWE.tec have retrofitted their Ultrasound technology so far to eight full size sewage treatment installations in Germany with stunning economical results.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), India, became the Nobel Peace Prize laureate together with the former American Vice President Al Gore for laying foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract climate changes. This panel in collaboration with TERI (Tata Energy and Resources Institute) issued in 2006 a book containing 25 best projects for corporate environmental responsibility in India - the DIRK Pozzocrete plant at Nashik was selected as one of those twenty five project.
